What to expect when you arrive
When you arrive at O.R. Thambo, our team will be waiting to greet you at the airport. We will help you clear your rifles and any other hunting equipment, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free arrival. From there, we’ll embark on a scenic 4-hour drive to Phumba Safaris, where your hunting adventure begins.

How does a hunting day look
Looking forward to a thrilling hunting experience? Here is a glimpse of a typical day with our Hunting package. Wake up half an hour before sunrise to have your coffee, cereals, biscuits, and fruit. Leave camp with our professional hunter at sunrise and hunt till noon. Once back, enjoy a hearty brunch and a half-hour rest before heading out for the afternoon hunt until sunset. Relax around the fire with snacks and drinks, and enjoy a delicious three-course dinner at 7:30 pm.

What to gear to pack
Packing for a hunting trip can be overwhelming, so let us help you! At our Hunting Hub, we recommend bringing hunting trousers and shirts, along with sturdy hiking shoes for trekking through the wilderness. Stay warm and comfortable with a quality jacket and don’t forget your binoculars for spotting game from a distance. Other essentials include sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, insect spray, and a camera or smartphone to capture your adventure. And for your peaceful slumber, don't forget to pack your pajamas.
